I passed through so many levels and picked up so many speed power-ups that I glitched between two trees from some enemy cannon explosions lol https://imgur.com/a/SdwKCiY
It was definitely amusing! What would make it hilariously fitting is if the enemies upgraded with you every time you collect something; if the patrolling tanks also drove faster, that'd be downright comedy (and probably super-challenging).
On a more practical note, I think a Metroid-like automap per level, accessible via Tab or something, would be helpful. But I'd really love for the trees to be destructible after a shot or two, even more so.
I do have plans to continue development - including enemy upgrades, more interactive environments, etc. I won't be updating this specific version (I want to keep this as a fair representation of 7DRL results), but I'll make sure to link the "ongoing" version from this page when I have new stuff to share.

Too bad the trees aren't destructible!
Yeah, the lack of an upgrade cap is definitely a problem. Glad it gave you some amusement! :)

Thanks for your feedback!
Great Game definitely not for the faint of heart. Didn't get very far on my first few tries that's for sure xD
